Senior Risk Advisory Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to join our team as a Senior Risk Advisory Leader.

  • This is a permanent position that offers the flexibility to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
About the Role

In this critical leadership role, you will lead a team of risk specialists, providing strategic oversight and guidance across corporate service functions. You will work closely with our Executive Manager, Risk Advisory to ensure effective risk oversight across the organisation.

Your strong business acumen and excellent communication skills will enable you to provide constructive challenge across Divisions. Your independent perspective will ensure risk topics are considered within the broader Group ecosystem.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Leveraging your expertise in risk management and advisory roles to drive meaningful outcomes.
  2. Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  3. Maintaining a keen eye for detail and ensuring robust financial control processes.
  4. Providing strategic oversight and guidance to risk specialists, enhancing their knowledge and skill base.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field, backed by a CA designation and Big 4 experience.
  • Proven experience in risk management and advisory roles, preferably within general insurance.
  • Strong business acumen, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
