As a Care Companion, you will be responsible for creating a supportive environment where residents can express their food preferences and choices while ensuring that meals are nutritious and prepared to the highest standards.
- Deliver exceptional service under the guidance of a senior chef or cook.
- Prepare daily meals and beverages that cater to individual needs, including special dietary requirements, allergies, and culturally specific requests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure the resident's living environment is safe and well-maintained.
- Adhere to the National Food Safety Program at all times, completing records and preventing cross-contamination.
- Present meals in an appealing manner and serve at the correct temperature.
- Collaborate with care teams to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and resident needs.
- Provide emotional support to residents, ensuring holistic and person-centered care.
- Prepare meal trays and trolleys according to the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide.
- Complete cleaning tasks as per the schedule and document resident requirements.
- Ensure safe use of chemicals and adhere to SDS and cleaning schedules.
- Document any exceptional changes or requirements for residents during shifts.
- Assist the chef in maintaining adequate kitchen stocks.
