Job Role

The role of a Support Worker involves providing care and support to residents in their daily lives. This includes assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing and dressing, as well as helping with meals and mobility.

  • Provide individualised care and support to residents
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and toileting
  • Help with meal times, including serving and cleaning up
  • Support residents with mobility, including transfers and walking
Responsibilities

In addition to the above tasks, the Support Worker will also be responsible for:

  • Reporting any changes or concerns about residents' health or wellbeing to the nursing staff
  • Maintaining accurate records of resident care and support
  • Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individualised Support or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
