Job Description

As a skilled Security Technician, you will play a vital role in servicing and supporting our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to program and commission Security CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intercoms, and Visitor Management systems.

You will also be responsible for maintaining key onsite relationships with the customer, other contractors, and/or end-users. This position requires excellent technical programming skills, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and good planning and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and commission Security CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intercoms, and Visitor Management systems.
  • Service, maintenance, and installation projects including installation, testing, and repairs.
  • Act as the primary contact with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Security Technician with industry or trade qualifications.
  • Possession of relevant certifications and licenses (WA Security Licence, Construction Induction White Card, Open Cabling Licence, and Current Driving Licence).
  • Proficient construction skills and understanding of system plans.
  • Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labelling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation.
  • Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to the Security Industry.
