The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will promote the cybersecurity strategy, lead key initiatives, and safeguard the technology environment.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, and operating standards to protect IT and OT assets.
- Design, implement, and administer security tools and processes; manage cyber risks across projects.
- Respond to incidents, support audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO27001, ASD).
- Lead security initiatives, contribute to disaster recovery plans, and continuously improve security measures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to inform strategic cybersecurity decisions and promote security best practices.
- Lead rapid response and investigation into security incidents; implement mitigations to reduce impact.
- Oversee security governance, operations, change management, and vendor management related to cybersecurity.
- Develop and implement a NIST-based cybersecurity strategy; monitor security events and ensure timely responses.
- Manage security for on-premises and cloud environments (Azure); implement zero trust, VPN security, and network segmentation.
- Ensure security tools are configured to best practices and managed through their lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Experience: 10-15 years in cybersecurity or information security roles (network and system security); governance, risk management, and compliance experience.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM or equivalent; SABSA certification is a plus.
- Knowledge: ISO27001, NIST, ASD; networking and system security; Azure cloud experience; VPN and Zero Trust knowledge.
- Ability to lead security projects and guide architecture decisions.
