Role Overview


We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Auxiliary Firefighters. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be an integral part of our emergency response team, responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and developing your skills through regular training sessions.



Main Responsibilities


Your key accountabilities will include:



  • Responding to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team
  • Promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities
  • Developing and maintaining competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses provided by QFES
  • Maintaining required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
  • Operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner
  • Contributing to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities
  • Ensuring maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities
  • Contribution to incident reporting and general station administration as required

Salary and Benefits


The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for career development, training, and professional growth, as well as access to modern equipment and facilities.
