Purpose of the Role


The QFES seeks an Auxiliary Firefighter to join our team in Ayr. As a member of our crew, you will respond to fire and other emergency incidents, promote community safety and emergency preparedness, and develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and training courses.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, maintaining a safe and effective presence on the fire ground.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills, training courses, and incident reporting.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements



  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.

Salary


This is a casual flexible position, offering a salary range of $68,698 - $80,166 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
