Principal High Voltage Engineering Designer

This is a full-time, permanent position primarily based in Sydney, NSW or Brisbane, QLD with flexibility to consider other locations across Australia.
We are a leader in utility and renewable high-voltage power solutions, specialising in design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage infrastructure such as transmission substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems.
With over 700 employees and offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, we are a preferred partner with Australia's major transmission network providers and are growing rapidly to connect Australia's energy future.
You will work on innovative high-voltage infrastructure projects including substations, grid connections, wind, and battery storage systems. Your role will be to provide technical and engineering design input, assist Project Managers and Engineers, and resolve technical project queries.
This role offers flexibility to be based in either NSW or Queensland offices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation required
- 5+ years experience as a Senior Designer Drafter, specialising in High Voltage Primary Systems
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with client engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Experience interpreting and implementing design information from Primary Design, Civil Design, and Project Engineers
