Robust Software Development Lead

We are seeking a seasoned expert to oversee the creation of cutting-edge software for hardware systems. Your task will be to lead a team of engineers designing and developing robust software that brings real-world products to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for software development, including overseeing design and implementation of software updates.
  • Guide the production and implementation of version control systems to ensure stability and continuity with legacy systems.
  • Maintain backward-compatibility in software development to ensure operational continuity.
  • Oversee the entire software lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software development with product requirements.
  • Ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent higher qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in software development, including deploying software on physical hardware systems.
  • Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and configuration control.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining application software for operational hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with operational aspects of software, including testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in deployed products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to adapt in a rapidly changing technical environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, proven leadership abilities.
