Construction Project Coordinator Role

BESIX Watpac, a global construction company, seeks an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their successful North Queensland team based in Cairns.

This position involves driving company safety policies and practices, as well as tendering subcontract packages, preparing contract documents, and administering project-related financial matters.

Responsibilities
  • Drive company safety policies, practices and procedures to provide a safe workplace at all times.
  • Tender subcontract packages, compile and approve tender documents, issue documents, receive tenders, compare tenders, and submit tender recommendations for approval.
  • Prepare contract documents for each trade package/subcontract.
  • In association with the Project Manager, assist with administration of subcontract packages including progress claims, variation claims and other project related financial matters.
  • Participate in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting in the areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters and cost analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or relevant experience. They must be able to communicate effectively, influence, and build relationships at all levels of the business. Additionally, they should be able to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
