With expertise in healthcare, commercial, education and civil/mining construction, our client is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and lead the delivery of complex and high-profile projects.
Job Description:
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects across various sectors, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key leadership role, managing project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and driving the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across healthcare, commercial, education, civil/mining, remote construction, and concrete/batching sectors.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risks.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
- Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and progress updates.
- Conduct regular project reviews to monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring high levels of collaboration, performance, and motivation.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management and clients.
- Ensure timely project delivery by proactively managing project timelines and mitigating potential delays.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with expertise across healthcare, commercial, education, civil/mining, remote, or concrete/batching projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- In-depth experience in managing large-scale projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Solid knowledge of local construction regulations and standards, particularly in Cairns and surrounding regions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification (preferred).
- Experience in remote construction projects or batching operations.
- Previous experience managing projects within the healthcare or education sectors.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
