Flight Assembly Supervisor

Join our team as an Assembly Supervisor in a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimise waste by monitoring and improving existing procedures, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Recommend process improvements to the relevant Department Manager where necessary.
  • Pack flights meticulously according to specified standards and deliver promptly to the dispatch fridge.
  • Lead and support a team of Catering Attendants, providing guidance and direction.
  • Roster effectively to ensure optimum efficiency and meet business objectives.
  • Investigate, analyse and implement corrective action plans to resolve assembly issues.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Executive Chef and/or Senior Management.
  • Ensure employees are trained as per business training matrix and schedule.
  • Participate in dnata safety programs, including toolboxes talks, safety stand downs and other initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role with strong leadership skills.
  • Effective resource planning skills with experience in creating efficient rosters for a large team.
  • Previous experience with LEAN or SIX SIGMA project management would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage more than 30 frontline staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in managing a diverse group of employees.
  • A strong commitment to food safety and compliance.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
