This role involves ensuring all site electrical maintenance and corrective tasks are conducted to guarantee the reliability of plant and equipment. The Maintenance Electrician will support and undertake maintenance and engineering projects to continuously improve both capability and reliability.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding, supporting, promoting, and complying with production management systems.
  • Maintaining equipment condition and reliability to achieve quality and safety targets.
  • Experienced in using CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
  • Ensuring timely action and satisfactory completion of preventative maintenance work as directed.
  • Timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns.
  • Providing reasonable site support outside of normal working hours as required.
  • Assisting with root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions for repetitive failures.
  • Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
  • Assisting with ordering components and consulting with external suppliers and OEMs as necessary with appropriate approval.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • Intermediate to Advance skill in programming.
  • Experience in Paper/Packaging or a highly automated plant industry is highly desirable.
  • Understanding basic to intermediate mechanical system principles is also highly considered.
