A key professional role for a skilled individual to join our organization in Townsville, providing exceptional workmanship in the servicing and maintenance of complex Defence vehicles.

In this critical position, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality workmanship in the inspection, repair and maintenance of M1A2 Sep v3 Abrams Main Battle Tank and ASLAV platforms
  • Repairing and reassembling vehicles and sub-assemblies according to detailed instructions
  • Ensuring accuracy with all paperwork associated with work undertaken

To be successful, applicants must have demonstrated experience working on Defence vehicles and possess excellent problem-solving skills. A related trade qualification is desirable but not essential. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team is also required.

About This Role

This Arms Technologist position plays a vital part in ensuring our Defence vehicles operate at peak performance levels.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities
  1. Servicing and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on Defence vehicles, including the M1A2 Sep v3 Abrams Main Battle Tank and ASLAV platforms.
  2. Vehicle Repair and Reassembly: Follow detailed instructions to repair and reassemble vehicles and sub-assemblies, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  3. Paperwork Compliance: Ensure all relevant paperwork is accurate and completed in accordance with guidelines.
