Our mission at Uniting is to empower families to build resilience and prevent child harm. As a Family Preservation Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, support, and intervention to vulnerable families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to ensure the safety of children and young people.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based tools to identify family strengths and needs.
  • Collaborate with families to establish and achieve goals that promote their well-being and stability.
  • Facilitate case planning and participate in an on-call roster to provide 24/7 support.
Requirements
  • Advanced qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field are essential.
  • Experience in case management with high-risk families is highly valued.
  • Understanding of child protection principles and ability to conduct thorough risk assessments using a strengths-based approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with families in crisis and develop effective partnerships.
  • Current NSW Working With Children's check and valid driver's license required.
