Job Title: Motor Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team at George Fisher Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine scheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and completing breakdown repairs on mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine scheduled maintenance tasks on mobile equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on mobile equipment
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and promote site safety standards
  • Deliver personnel and equipment to job sites and return surplus equipment to stores
  • Assist in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasks
  • Mentor apprentices and contribute positively to the team environment
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Motor Mechanic
  • Current manual driver's license
  • Experience in repairing mobile equipment
  • Positive attitude and high safety standards
  • Mining or heavy industry experience highly regarded
  • High risk work license, Working at Heights, and Confined Space licenses
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
  • Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes
