Job Title: Motor Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team at George Fisher Mine. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine scheduled maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and breakdown repairs.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and promote site safety standards.
  • Perform light fleet maintenance work, as well as breakdown repairs, on a variety of assets, including Toyota's, Nissans, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Holden, and Isuzu.
  • Deliver personnel and equipment to job sites and return surplus equipment to stores.
  • Assist in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasks.
  • Mentor apprentices and contribute positively to the team environment.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Motor Mechanic.
  • Current manual driver's license.
  • Refrigeration Handling Licence is highly regarded.
  • Experience in repairing mobile equipment.
  • Positive attitude and high safety standards.
  • Mining or heavy industry experience is highly regarded.
  • High risk work licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space, forklift licence, MR or HR licence.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills.
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes.
  • Experience in SAP or similar system is an advantage.
  • Experience in Excel is an advantage.
