Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain boilers to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Monitor coal usage, chemical controls, soot blowing, water softener tests, and blow-down procedures
  • Clean soot and maintain boiler performance to maximise efficiency
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Use strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently
  • Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of repairs and required maintenance
  • Work closely with the Operations team to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members in a constructive and supportive environment
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with boilers or in a maintenance-related role
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
