We are seeking an experienced swimming professional to lead our squad program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive swimming and excellent leadership skills.

The Swim Squad Coach will be responsible for developing training plans that showcase progression for swimmers through the levels and effectively leading a team of instructors to develop the program and pathway from the Swimming and Water Safety program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of the squad program within legislative guidelines
  • Actively promoting the squad program and participation in the affiliated Swimming Club
  • Maintaining adequate qualifications for the program being delivered and conducting all squad activities in a safe environment
  • Monitoring the progression of swimmers through the squad program and working with the Swimming and Water Safety program to identify talented swimmers and encourage participation in the squad program

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess:

  • Competitive Swimming / Competitive Strokes Qualification
  • Bronze level Qualification (desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role
