Job Summary:

The Financial Operations Leader will be a key leader for our accounting operations. Responsibilities include preparing month-end closing reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, and managing all aspects of the general ledger for our operation. This role will also be responsible for completing and presenting annual budgets and monthly forecasts for senior management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the monthly close process, including review of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analytical review procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP (IFRS experience acceptable)
  • Assist in managing external auditors
  • Manage budget to actual review process with key department leaders
  • Assist with process improvement and automation
  • Oversee and lead the completion of the budget and forecasts with operational leaders
  • Review financial data on a monthly basis and consult with VP of Finance about problems or discrepancies

 

Requirements:

  • PREFERRED BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE WITH CPA DESIGNATION AND THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of progressive experience in public accounting firm,
  • 2 years of direct management experience;
  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented individual who will drive process improvements;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills;
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables
