Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Orderly | Team Leader to oversee the efficient operation of our theatre support services. The successful candidate will lead a team of orderlies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and organized environment in the operating theatres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the theatre orderly team.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of operating theatres before and after procedures.
  • Assist in the transportation and positioning of patients within the theatre complex.
  • Manage the inventory of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring timely availability.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to support smooth and efficient theatre operations.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and hospital policies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new and existing theatre orderlies.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Theatre Orderly or similar role within a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of operating theatre protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital management software.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
