About the Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

As a skilled maintenance professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality products on time while maintaining equipment safety and minimizing downtime.

  • Demonstrate leadership in safety to ensure all maintenance activities meet health and safety standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry policies, regulatory requirements, and legislative changes.
  • Participate in risk assessments and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electro-mechanical food manufacturing equipment or processes.
  • Work on facilities plant and services, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam systems.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors on new equipment installations and modifications.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers or apprentices.
  • Update maintenance management systems and record all works performed.

Requirements

  • Trade or degree qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Multiskilled or cross-skilled capability.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing electro-mechanical automated equipment and processes.
  • Familiarity with facilities plant, boilers, refrigeration, air handling, and effluent treatment plants.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems safely.
