Role Overview

The Branch Manager at the manufacturing site plays a crucial role in guiding and motivating a diverse team of skilled professionals, including administrative personnel and production staff. Your primary objective will be to manage and optimize the essential operations of truss and frame production, ensuring peak efficiency and adherence to the highest standards to meet customer timelines. Branch Managers are expected to possess commercial acumen and are accountable for both the financial and cultural performance of their facility. A significant responsibility within this well-established and highly successful organization is to maintain an unparalleled level of service and product quality for their trade clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all operational facets of the branch, including distribution, manufacturing, customer service, financial oversight, human resources, administration, and sales.
- Initiate projects that enhance operational efficiencies, including the integration of new technologies into production and ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
- Strategically plan, develop, and implement initiatives to achieve budgets, targets, and company objectives while enhancing customer experiences through improved product quality and service.
- Proactively manage and consistently surpass delivery schedules, maintain clear communication with clients, and uphold the company's commitment to reliability and trust.
- Supervise inventory management, monthly profit and loss reporting, and annual forecasting while exploring new business opportunities.
- Lead a high-performing team through effective leadership, coaching, and training to ensure all expectations are met.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and further strengthen the commitment to a robust workplace health and safety culture.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in an Operations Manager role within the manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Strong operational background with a solid understanding of the residential construction process or supply chain management.
- A passion for sales and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations to maximize branch profitability.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead and mentor a team of up to 30 members.
- Highly organized with strengths in planning, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, alongside strong problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in negotiation and influencing, with a keen commercial awareness.
