We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Support Specialist to join our team at Generate Opportunities. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities and/or health conditions in their workplaces.
Main Responsibilities- Assist clients with day-to-day tasks, including personal care tasks, as needed.
- Provide sighted guiding to help navigate surroundings, utilizing a white cane, and describe important visual content, such as PowerPoint presentations or videos.
- Understand and work within policies covering confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety.
- Drive to and from face-to-face appointments and support clients in setting up IT equipment.
- Monitor clients' health and alert emergency contacts if they show signs of being unwell, including assistance with taking medication.
- Undertake work as directed by clients and facilitate the completion of their work duties.
- Active member of the Generate Opportunities staff team.
- Compliance with all relevant Generate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Represent Generate Opportunities positively in various situations and respond professionally to general inquiries.
- Flexibility in hours to meet the needs of Generate Opportunities.
- Keep records and report on outcomes of work.
- Stay up-to-date with current issues and good practice in the field of the Access to Work program.
- Engage with support offered by colleagues and undertake training as required.
