After-Hours Care Leader

The role of the After-Hours Care Leader is to provide leadership and oversight during non-business hours to ensure effective management of a residence. This involves providing compassionate and competent care to residents, while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents. The leader will oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, considering the unique health requirements and preferences of each resident. Additionally, they will ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
- Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
- Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aged care as a registered nurse.
- Grade 5, Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
- Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
