Open Spaces Specialist

Hunter's Hill is an area rich in community spirit and heritage. Located in the heart of Sydney, our Council is surrounded by beautiful parks and pristine waterways.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a small team responsible for maintaining open spaces, parks, gardens, and reserves to the standard determined by our Asset Management framework.
About the Role:
- Reporting directly to the Works Manager, your primary responsibilities include planning and organising work, delegating tasks, ensuring safety standards are met, and monitoring progress to ensure open spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
- You will be required to utilise a range of equipment, including mowers, weed spraying units, blowers, and whipper snippers, while also ensuring your team manages their work in a safe and competent manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to supervise a small team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
