Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing assistance, support, and companionship.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or within the community.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for clients, promoting their independence and social engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in disability support or a similar caregiving role is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory with comprehensive car insurance.
