About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Energy Systems Manager to lead our Brisbane Energy team in delivering exciting Transmission and Distribution projects across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a challenging opportunity to partner with key clients, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to some of the world's most iconic renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Technical Lead on projects, managing delivery, verifying detailed design, and monitoring project measures to ensure on-time, under-budget, high-quality delivery to clients.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team of Engineers in a client-facing role, fostering and developing relationships on various projects across transmission and distribution, renewables, traction power, and building services sectors.
  • Oversee team management of the secondary systems team, including work and resource allocation, project oversight, and helping the team develop professionally.
  • Collaborate with the team and senior leadership to develop innovative solutions, assist with bids, tenders, and business development activities.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with RPEV (or equivalent) or ability to obtain.
  • Evidence of technical competency and project leadership experience in Secondary System projects, with a detailed knowledge of Secondary Systems and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently on projects in Protection and Control, while working closely with major client accounts.
  • Prior involvement in delivery of detailed scope and specifications, detailed design, review sign off, report writing, and relay configurations.
  • Proven understanding of sub-transmission and distribution system protection and control Australian Standards.
