Maintenance Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Officer to lead and coordinate our building construction and maintenance projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our projects.

About the Role

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of building construction and maintenance projects. This includes conducting thorough building condition inspections, preparing accurate estimates and quotations, and monitoring expenditure of budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate teams on building construction and maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
  • Building Condition Inspections: Conduct thorough building condition inspections and record information in databases, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for building works and monitor budget expenditures, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster excellent service delivery through effective liaison with staff and the public, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Building and/or Construction or equivalent experience
  • Proven trade experience at a senior level
  • Current NSW General Construction Induction Card (White card)
  • Current Class C Driver's License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia
