Job Description:

The role of Database Management Specialist is to administer databases with appropriate performance monitoring and maintenance activities to ensure optimum performance and integrity.

This includes establishing appropriate database monitoring, maintaining databases for optimal performance, reporting on database performance, establishing and maintaining effective backup and recovery processes, ensuring data security plans are in place, managed through incident/problem management processes to resolution.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Established expertise in database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, architecture, and design principles.
  • Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
  • Maintenance of architectural documentation and artefacts.
