About the Role

Veolia is excited to announce a newly established position for a seasoned Bid Estimator to join our dynamic Remediation Services team. This role will involve estimating significant remediation projects across the country.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality estimation and tender services to support substantial projects within the Remediation Services sector.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements on a national scale, ensuring competitive advantages in the bidding process.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of tender documents to grasp the scope of work, contract intentions, specifications, and any specific conditions.
  • Plan tenders effectively to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the estimation, quotation, and tendering processes by recommending preferred rehabilitation methods and delivery strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, accountable relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Assist with additional work requests as part of ongoing contracts.

Qualifications for Success

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil or Environmental preferred), Construction, or Surveying.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Bid Estimator in the civil or construction industries.
  • Experience with projects and tenders of various complexities and sizes.
  • A solid understanding of Quality, WHS, and Environmental Management systems.
  • Ability to manage strict deadlines and prioritize competing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in managing tender documentation, preparation, and submission.
  • Ability to establish and nurture strong stakeholder relationships.
