About the Role

Yokogawa Electric Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Development Manager to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional with a proven track record of sales success to represent our RAP4 product in the APAC region. As a Regional Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing the Control of Work Safety product (RAP4) through existing customer relationships, product promotion, identifying market opportunities, and implementing the market strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building a sales pipeline and consistently winning new deals through supporting operating companies, including direct engagement with current and potential clients.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of clients' business and technical challenges, operating and maintenance environment, capabilities, and goals, as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Building Yokogawa's RAP4 brand and knowledge of our value in conjunction with our marketing team, including travel to client and other sites.
  • Demonstrating and selling products both internally and externally.
  • Creating internal pricing using the RAP pricing tool, developing, and presenting proposal content and materials.
  • Working with existing Yokogawa operating companies' sales teams and the RAP marketing function.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A proven and demonstrable history of sales success, ideally with health safety products or similar.
  • Knowledge of control or work and related safety systems within Operations and Maintenance functions at industrial high hazard plants would be a considerable advantage.
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and experience of working on them or in supplying industrial equipment, including specification, selection, and installation, would also be beneficial.
  • Experience in managing long sales and complex RFI/RFP processes.
  • Relevant qualification in an engineering or process-related subject.
  • Robust forecasting and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable in building and managing relationships at the senior level, with an ability to interpret complex technical issues and translate them into business needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills, persistence, and follow-through with accounts.
