Family Safety Specialist

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the welfare of children and young people by providing specialist therapeutic and case management services.
The service addresses the needs of individuals who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence or neglect. Key objectives include delivering expert support, collaborating with relevant stakeholders and participating in a 24-hour on-call service.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective therapeutic and case management strategies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with professionals and communities through education, prevention work and systems advocacy.
- Respond promptly to urgent situations as part of the on-call service, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience within the specified clinical discipline.
- Registration with AHPRA or membership of AASW for Social Workers is mandatory.
- Demonstrated expertise in addressing complex trauma and evidence-based practices for supporting abused and traumatised individuals.
- Ability to navigate complex interagency environments using sound advocacy, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
