Recovery Mentor Position

This is a fixed-term, part-time position offering 75 hours over 4 weeks.

The role involves providing empathetic support to individuals navigating mental distress, empowering them to build independence and reconnect with their strengths.

  • Engaging in meaningful conversations to help set daily recovery goals
  • Assisting individuals in developing life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and transport planning
  • Offering emotional support and stability during times of distress
  • Celebrating small achievements and progress made towards personal goals
  • Logging notes, collaborating with the team, or attending educational sessions

Applicants should possess a Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field, along with experience working in mental health. They should be emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and values teamwork. Additionally, they should understand recovery-oriented practice, hold a current driver's licence, and undergo relevant checks.
