Automation and Controls Expert

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Expert to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of our control systems, leading site automation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Champion safety in all aspects of automation work and ensure compliance with site and company-wide standards.
  • Automation Expertise: Own the site's control systems and automation infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with Group standards and best practices.
  • Project Leadership: Scope, develop, and implement automation and controls strategies to improve production performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Asset Care teams to develop and embed reliability plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Be part of the front line, supporting real-time issue resolution and breakdown rectification to help keep beer flowing.
  • Tech Advocate: Stay across emerging automation technologies and equipment, acting as the SME for preferred platforms.
Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering or Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology.
  • Strong experience working in automation or controls engineering roles, preferably in fast-paced manufacturing or operations environments.
  • Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), and automation standards.
  • Proven skills in process improvement, project management, and implementing reliability strategies.
