We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a key role that will significantly contribute to maintaining and evolving the central live repository for hazards and risks across ADF flying operations.

This position involves leading analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data, working closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions, providing guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms, creating reports, dashboards, and database structures that support operational insight, and advising on continuous improvement in data presentation and structure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing data analytics strategies to enhance decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Designing and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and integrity.
  • Creating interactive and informative visualizations to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with strong analytical skills, familiar with secure or Defence environments, and experienced with tools like PowerBI, SQL Server, or similar. This is a Canberra-based opportunity that requires a strong focus on practical outcomes and collaboration with stakeholders.

Security clearance (NV1 minimum) or eligibility to obtain is essential, as well as the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
