We have welcoming facilities including residential, dementia, respite care beds, transitional, and care awaiting placement beds, along with allied health, therapy, and wellness programs and home support packages that support people in our communities.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for employees. The position implements safety systems, policies, and procedures compliant with relevant legislation and regulations, promoting a safety culture where everyone values safety and well-being.

The role collaborates closely with senior managers, managers, and employees to ensure they are trained and aware of their obligations for themselves, their colleagues, direct reports, and customers.

**Key Responsibilities...**

  • Developing and implementing safety systems, policies, and procedures compliant with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Providing expert advice on WHS matters and managing complex and sensitive workplace issues
  • Conducting risk assessments and hazard management, particularly in the Aged Care sector
  • Undertaking safety inspections and providing action plans to remedy as required
  • Delivering WHS education, including prevention and awareness strategies

**Requirements...**

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field, or relevant proven experience
  • Experience in providing expert high-level advisory service in WHS matters
  • Experience in managing and resolving complex and sensitive WHS workplace issues
  • Experience in WHS risk assessment and hazard management, particularly in the Aged Care sector
  • Experience in undertaking safety inspections and providing action plans to remedy as required
  • Experience in providing WHS education, including prevention and awareness strategies
