About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at 3001 DXC Technology Australia Pty Limited. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and feedback to Case Managers on appropriate legislation, ensuring compliance with industry codes, and reducing overall claim costs.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver prompt and effective specialist technical claims advice
  • Work with Case Managers to provide guidance and support, maximising outcomes
  • Provide guidance and lead discussions on technical aspects of claims with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, industry codes, and company policies
  • Monitor developments in the industry to stay up-to-date with insurance guidelines, policy changes, and modifications
  • Identify opportunities to review, develop, and modify processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines to support innovation, improved performance, and customer experience
  • Assist Case Managers in conducting ongoing risk assessments and claim segmentation through case conferences
  • Work with Claims Officers, Case Managers, and Injury Management Advisors to develop strategic case management action plans for each claim

Requirements:



  • Sound technical knowledge, including legal qualifications and/or minimum of 3 years experience in claims management, Case Management, and/or a law clerk or paralegal in the statutory personal injury field
  • Strong working knowledge of the NSW Workers Compensation Act 1987
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt to change, and intermediate computer literacy
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Claims Officers, coaching, decision-making, and technical claims management
  • Ability to follow rules and regulations, and demonstrated ability to work towards set targets and compliance measures
