Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our culinary operations and drive success through day-to-day management.

As a key member of our culinary management team, you will be responsible for driving costs across both operational, food and labour while maintaining quality.

You will foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging employees to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests in line with The Star values.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing costs across both operational, food and labour while maintaining quality

  3. Demonstrate the ability to prepare food items consistently to the highest standards in accordance with established menu plans
  4. Evaluate the performance of all direct reports and provide mentorship to enhance each team member's growth
  5. Supporting continuous menu concept, tasting and design utilising local suppliers and keeping ahead of market trends

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated leadership experience
  2. Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of high-volume food preparation
  4. Strong understanding of food safety requirements

You will be able to provide exceptional culinary skills, outstanding communication, and hold the ability to lead a successful kitchen team with a proven track record in achieving financial targets.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
