A Job with PurposeAs an Aged Care Team Leader – Medication Endorsed, you will play a vital role in promoting a harmonious team approach to delivering exceptional resident care at our Box Hill facility.
You will be responsible for leading Personal Care Workers, supporting Registered Nurses, and ensuring that every individual receives personalized attention and care tailored to their unique needs.
What You Will Do- Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents and their families, taking into account their cultural, spiritual, and individual requirements.
- Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management, to enhance their overall wellbeing.
- Support nursing staff in assessment and care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Analyze risk, implement strategies, and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
- Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with Registered Nurses.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2).
- At least 2 years of experience as an EEN in residential aged care.
- Experience in dementia care and palliative care support is desirable.
- Strong decision-making, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with all levels of care partners.
- Availability to work in the specified roster vacancy.
- Commitment to being part of a values-based workplace culture.
- A current Working With Children Check card.
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
- Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a national police clearance.
The salary for this position is $83,650 per annum, plus benefits such as above-award hourly rates, salary packaging up to $15,900 annually, annual leave loading, career pathways, education, and training opportunities, comprehensive Employee Assistance Program available 24/7, enhanced parental leave options, location options within our Uniting AgeWell network, and not-for-profit, values-based organization status.
