About the Opportunity

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Team Leader Bitumen Services. As a key member of the Council's Works and Infrastructure Branch, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management and supervision of the bitumen sealing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure resources are available and tasks meet Council's quality and safety standards.
  • Serve as the liaison between Council and customers for bitumen sealing projects.
  • Manage contracts and documentation as part of the Works and Infrastructure Services Unit.
  • Estimate quantities of materials and prepare costs for plant and labour hours for specific bitumen works.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification in civil construction or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of bitumen spray sealing activities and plant operations.
  • Experience in project management and supervising work teams in civil construction areas.
  • Current Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Dangerous Goods Vehicle Licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Construction Induction Card accredited by Work Safe Victoria.
  • Current Spotter Registration Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Current satisfactory Police Check or willingness to obtain.
