Job Opportunity

We are seeking a senior nurse leader to lead our perioperative services in leading hospitals across Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to take on a leadership role and make a real difference in the lives of patients.

  • Significant perioperative nursing experience, with strong theatre operations knowledge
  • Prior leadership experience as a DON, ADON, NUM or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, accreditation, and safety standards
  • Proven ability to lead, engage, and develop high-performing teams
  • AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)
  • Willingness to relocate for the right opportunity

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to achieve organisational goals and objectives
  • Provide educational programs and support to nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse Division 1)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in nursing or related field
  • Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, accreditation, and safety standards
  • Skills in project management, team leadership, and communication
