Job Opportunity

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality support for individuals with disabilities.

As an Assistant Commissioner, you will lead our communications, engagement, and education functions.

This role will involve shaping and delivering strategies to promote awareness of NDIS participant rights, strengthen provider capability, and enhance the Commission's reputation as a trusted regulator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement national communications, media, and engagement strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee educational resources for NDIS providers and workers on their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Build strong relationships with governments, the NDIA, and the disability sector.
  • Ensure inclusive and accessible communications (WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Identify digital opportunities to strengthen communications and engagement approaches.

Requirements:

  • Senior executive experience in communications, engagement, and/or education, ideally in a regulatory or disability context.
  • Outstanding leadership, strategic influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to disability rights and inclusive practice.
