About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative leader to manage a team of professionals responsible for cultural heritage fieldwork programs. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring effective logistics, contractor coordination, and pre-planning requirements are delivered to support heritage fieldwork activities.
- Ensure all logistical requirements are effectively delivered to support heritage fieldwork programs.
- Drive continuous improvement across heritage logistics processes, enabling streamlined, end-to-end delivery of fieldwork activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of six Cultural Heritage Fieldwork Program Coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Escalate and resolve pathways with accommodation constraints that impact heritage fieldwork surveys.
- Identify trends in cultural heritage accommodation no-shows, unexpected arrivals, non-departures, and similar, and escalate for resolution.
- Manage early forecasting of vehicle demand and heritage survey demand to escalate periods of HLA constraints.
- Enable reporting of CMS monthly hours reporting for Traditional Owner Partnerships team.
- Support the team to ensure the C7 aviation standards are followed for helicopter-assisted surveys.
- Ensure C7 annual reporting of usage and annual audits to review operational standards of contracting companies is completed to align with C7 aviation standards.
- Coach and mentor the Heritage coordinators team.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating, and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of best practices.
- Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties.

- Demonstrated safety leadership and a sound understanding of safety protocols and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Sharp critical thinking and the ability to distil information into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- A high level of adaptability, resilience, and versatility in dynamic environments.
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to requests, maintaining quality and consistency under pressure.
