Business Development Manager

This key role involves leading the proposal lifecycle from kickoff to final production and interview. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, review- and client-ready materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full proposal lifecycle, including content development, visual creation, and quality control.
  • Develop a self-directed team culture by delivering high-quality, review- and client-ready materials.
  • Design and implement pursuit organization tools, including schedules, compliance matrices, templates, and assignment dashboards.
  • Review and interpret RFPs to create clear, actionable compliance matrices that guide proposal development.
  • Coordinate input from internal teams and external subconsultants to maintain alignment and clear communication throughout.
Content Development & Quality:
  • Compose, edit, and format non-technical proposal content to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Collaborate with specialized experts to write and visualize technical approaches and project understanding information.
  • Develop qualifications, bios, data, forms, and terms to be accurate and compliant.
  • Support the creation of storyboarding, benefit statements, message development, project profiles, and additional data and materials.
Visual & Layout:
  • Format documents with reader-friendly graphic/layout skills; expect intermediate InDesign skills.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing resources, data keepers, and layout artists to communicate progress.
Quality & Compliance:
  • Create schedules and time blocks to conduct appropriate reviews of content and graphics.
  • Monitor progress to meet internal deadlines and quality processes.
