About the Role

Port of Newcastle is a leading port that plays a vital role in Australia's economy, handling approximately $71 billion in trade each year. As a key player in the region's prosperity, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Growth Projects to lead the development and delivery of new terminal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team in planning, design, and execution workstreams for new developments.
  • Collaborate with the planning and environmental function to obtain required planning approvals and compliance measures.
  • Develop project delivery plans, including scope, schedule, stakeholder engagement, risk assessment, and resourcing.
  • Establish commercial and legal structures to ensure a reasonable return on investment.
  • Leverage stakeholder information to inform import/export considerations and infrastructure requirements.
  • Align project development with the Port Strategic Land Use Plan.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Commerce, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in managing and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven leadership experience and excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
