Logistics Coordinator Role Summary

This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments globally, as well as domestic distribution across Australia. You will manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, drive improvements in cost and service performance, and play a key role in operational problem-solving.

Duties:
  • Coordinate international shipments for inbound raw materials, cross-trade logistics, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and delivery time-lines.
  • Manage domestic and international distribution of finished goods, service parts, and loan devices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring cost, compliance, and service targets are met.
  • Optimise container utilisation and drive cost-control initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Generate and analyse supply chain data, including shortage analyses, forecasts, and inventory reports.
  • Represent the logistics function in cross-functional meetings and manage key operational actions.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at streamlining processes and removing inefficiencies.

Requirements:
  • International freight experience (import/export) is essential.
  • Knowledge of domestic transportation and freight forwarding processes.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as medical devices or pharma is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and supply chain systems, with the ability to create reports and data insights.
  • Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, able to bring structure and process improvements.
