We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR leader to join our team at Summit Search Group as a Director of Human Resources. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to employees and leaders across multiple locations in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive organizational success.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR management, including labour relations, talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their talent needs and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Partner with the VP of Human Resources to drive HR initiatives and projects at both the regional and company-wide levels.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, guiding on HR-related matters and conflict resolution.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 + years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on labour relations, talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and driving organizational change.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Ontario.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate HR strategy into actionable plans.
  • SHRM or HRPA certification preferred.
