Job Title: Digital Forensics Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Officer to join our Cyber Governance and Operations branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and analyzing digital evidence from IT devices, gathering and preserving electronic data in a format suitable for presentation in a court of law.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to undertake research and analysis and provide technical advice. They should also be able to engage with sensitive and confidential material or images.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to undergo training and obtain qualifications as a Forensic Officer. You may attend conferences and external events to broaden your networks and experience.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with other teams to ensure that investigations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to travel extensively across the country to assist in ATO investigations. This may involve working overtime and potentially overnight stays when travelling.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
  • Relevant experience in digital forensics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
