As a Principal Design Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering value-driven engineering solutions during bid development and early works. Your expertise in Substation Automation and Cyber Security will be a critical differentiator for our company in a competitive market.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 20 years of experience in renewables, electrical infrastructure and utilities, with a strong background in concept design, tenders and bid support. They will also have expertise in Secondary Systems, Protection, SCADA and Industrial Cybersecurity, and a proven ability to deliver innovative, value-adding engineering solutions.

  • Degree in Engineering, Chartered Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia
  • Specialised cross discipline technical expertise within substation, transmission, BESS or Wind engineering with particular strength in protection, automation or security systems
  • Schedule, cost and risk management
  • EPC or contracting background

About You

You will be responsible for:

  • Execution of the growth strategy by de-risking strategic and major projects solutions during the tender and bid development phases.
  • Mentoring of Senior and Junior Design Managers.
  • Provision of a centre of excellence for the development of engineering value adding solutions.
  • Development and implementation of efficiency opportunities for high performance and sustainable long-term engineering solutions.
